The exhibition of paintings of Igor Simonović organised by Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art opens at 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 15 November 2016. Authentic realisations of this artist are a result of non-conventional approach to the medium of painting, aspiring towards new sources of artistic expression. This exhibition includes eighty works from the earliest to the last which successfully participated in recent exhibition of International Triennial of Self-taught Visionaries. Igor Simonović now celebrates a decade of his artistic work. He had solo and group exhibitions in the country and abroad, and in 2011 he was awarded Recognition for the Exhibited Works at the Fifteenth Biennial of Naïve and Marginal Art organised by MNMA.

 

The author of exhibition and monograph is Nina Ljubomirović, a custodian at MNMA. The exhibition is supported by Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
