  Retrospective exhibition of paintings

Miodrag Pavlović Dragomirac

1 April – 12 May 2019, MNMA

On traditional celebration of MNMA Day, the retrospective exhibition of Miodrag Pavlović Dragomirac, the winner of Grand Prix for the exhibited works in the First Triennial of Self-taught Visionary Art (2016) was opened on Monday, 1 April 2019 at 1.00 pm. Authentic pictorial characteristic of Miodrag Pavlović is a valuable proof of existence of untouched, original art in our region even today, in the twenty-first century. Until the end of April the visitors of MNMA had the opportunity to see already forgotten scenes from village life, as well as a documentary on the artist done by Predrag Todorović.
Dragomirac was born in Dobrača near Kragujevac on 13 December 1931. He began doing painting in nineteen-nineties. He had his first exhibition in Dobrača in 2011, then in Kragujevac, Jagodina and Belgrade. His recognisable participation in the First Triennial of Self-taught Visionary Art (2016) organised by Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art at “Cvijeta Zuzorić” Art Pavilion in Belgrade brought him Grand Prix for the Exhibited Works. Since 2017 he has participated in Art Colonies, also traditionally organised by MNMA.
