We are concluding a particularly successful year in the Department for Conservation and Restoration at the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art (MNMA). Tijana Knežević, conservator-restorer at MNMA, carried out the restoration and conservation of works of exceptional importance to our cultural heritage. The works in question are three pieces by Uroš Predić from the Art Collection of the Krajina Museum:
Portrait of Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, 1913, oil on canvas, 69 x 54 cm
Portrait of Mica Mokranjac, 1913, oil on canvas, 69 x 54 cm
Saint Nicholas, 1889, oil on canvas, 38 x 22 cm
Through this process, not only was the physical protection of these valuable artworks ensured, but their historical and aesthetic value was also preserved for future generations.
We express our gratitude to the head of the collection, Vesna Nikolić, senior curator at the Krajina Museum, as well as to the museum's administration for their trust and collaboration.
