Gingerbread cookies are extremely popular in Serbia. The tradition of buying decorated gingerbread is common when one wants to delight someone special with a unique and thoughtful gift. Gingerbread in the shape of houses, Christmas trees, ornaments, cartoon characters, and the classic heart design have found their way into many hands and homes. The workshop involved decorating gingerbread cookies using edible colors and a classic watercolor painting technique.
