As part of the Museums for 10 event, the workshop First Lady – Jovanka Broz was held on May 16 at 10:00 AM at the Gallery of the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art in Jagodina, located at 10 Boška Đuričića Street.
A partisan, fighter, communist, and First Lady of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Jovanka Broz—graceful and elegant—stood as a counterpart to the European aristocracy. Inspired by the exhibition Jovanka Broz in Color, and considering that she was not verbally active in public life (i.e., she did not give statements or comment on political situations), her great contribution was of a non-verbal nature. This was most evident in her carefully chosen public attire, both at home and abroad, through which she represented the tradition and power of the former state.
Participants: 7th grade students (Class VII/2) from Elementary School “17. Oktobar,” under the guidance of art teacher Nataša Krstić.
